Grove City Burning Permit Information and Ordinances
Grove City can issue burning permits when there is not a burning ban in effect. This permit is for open burning as allowed and in Minnesota Statute 88.16 Minn. Uniform Fire Code, and local ordinances. Permission is granted to burn trees, brush and leaves at a specified location.
No permit is needed in the winter if the snow is at least 3″ deep.
FIRE SAFETY AND AIR QUALITY REQUIREMENTS
PROHIBITED MATERIALS ARE: OILS, RUBBER, PLASTICS, TIRES AND CHEMICALLY TREATED MATERIALS SUCH AS RAILROAD TIES, TREATED LUMBER, COMPOSITE SHINGLES, TAR PAPER, INSULATION, COMPOSITION BOARD, SHEET ROCK, WIRING, PAINT, HAZARDOUS AND INDUSTRIAL SOLID WASTE.
Violations of permit conditions may subject permittee to criminal and/or actions.
